The Story Behind Simple Scrog
Simple Scrog Inc is a Canadian based company serving to Canadian residents. The screen of green method is one of the best ways to maximize your plant yield. It has its cons though. One day the Founder Mat, was fed up with the problems of traditional scrog setups, so he went to his buddy Kaveh (the other Founder) and said “Hey! Put your engineering skills to good use and let’s build something that snaps onto a 5-gallon bucket”. And so it started. They put together some contraptions to form the first prototype. Then after some testing, further designing, prototyping, sourcing manufacturers, investing in molds, figuring out shipping logistics, Voila! Out came our first official product, The Simple Scrog!
It’s so perfect we wouldn’t use any other scrog setup for our grow. We are growers building a product for growers.
About the Founders
KAVEH EBADI – Lead engineer, Co-inventor, Co-founder, President.
Kaveh has been designing machines and products for over half a decade now and has prided himself on sustainability, user friendliness, and ease of use of his products. Kaveh has been instrumental in the design, manufacture, and come-to-market strategies.
MATHEW RAFFAGHELLO – Co-inventor, Co-founder, CEO, and resident “plant guy”
Mat has been working in horticulture in many capacities for almost two decades now. He has been innovating with new products for the last three years. He prides himself with sustainable, easy to use, and affordable products. Mat’s plant knowledge and experience has been instrumental in the design and implementation of the Simple Scrog.
About the Funds
Due the events of Covid19, we aren't able to ship small quantities without paying for a full shipping container. We don't have the funds to manufacture enough units to fill a shipping container, nor do we have the funds to ship an entire container. Therefore, the only way we can bring our product to the market is to obtain a certain amount of pre-orders which would allow us to fund the production of the scrogs and to ship them over to Canada where we can distribute them to you.
Why Simple Scrog?
The Simple Scrog is a product that genuinely solves all the problems of traditional scrog setups. This started out as a passion project and after seeing all the benefits, we realized it would be a shame if we kept this to ourselves. See the list of benefits below:
- No more having ALL your plants tied down to one screen. If one plant gets sick or is in a different cycle, you gotta move it out!
- No more having your plants stuck in one position and in one spot. Scrogs tend to be connected to walls or contraptions that can't allow your plant to be moved. - Two words. Height adjustability. It can be cumbersome not knowing exactly how high your plant will be when it's ready to be topped. Luckily you won't have to know the exact height because the Simple Scrog has a few inches of height adjustability giving you the perfect screen height for your plant. Not to mention You can grow multiple strains at different heights next to each other since each plant has its own screen height.
- No more rods in your soil. The simple strong clips onto your bucket instead of digging rods into your soil and plant roots.
- No more contaminating screens. The screen is made of FOOD GRADE polypropylene plastic which is scratch proof, UV resistant, and heat resistant, so no contaminants in the plants thank you very much.
- No more high expenses. The Simple Scrog's screen is re-usable. No more wasting nets because they're dirty or contaminated.

About the Reward
This campaign is for the sole purpose of pre-ordering the Simple Scrog. Please donate the suggested amounts according to how many scrogs you would like. Your order includes a flat rate shipping price. We will be shipping using Chit Chats or Canada Post (with commercial discounted shipping rates). This allows us to give you the lowest Canada-wide flat rate shipping price. The product itself is $29.99 CAD + HST which is $33.89.
Each Simple Scrog will include 1 screen, 1 frame, 8 extension pieces, 4 arms, 4 clips to connect to your bucket. Buckets are not included since they can be found at your local hardware store such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, or Home Hardware to name a few.
Tier 1: $45 gets you 1 Simple Scrog.
Tier 2: $79 gets you 2 Simple Scrogs.
Tier 3: $112 gets you 3 Simple Scrogs and 10% discount code for future purchases on our website.

We will be delivering the product to you in SEPTEMBER 2020. This is because after we receive your funding, we will be spending 3 weeks producing the units. Then it will take 1 month and 1 week to ship it overseas to our warehouse. Then, from there we will be packaging it and sending it off to you and you should receive it in a few business days.
Conclusion
In any Scrog setup up, you can increase your yield 20-35%. Despite this wonderful increase, many people are deterred from the Screen of Green growing method because of the traditional problems. We genuinely want the Simple Scrog to be available to everyone because it truly serves its purpose well and will actually encourages growers to utilize the screen of green growing method once they experience how fun and simple it can be.
