For nearly three decades, the AndigenA Foundation has stood on the front lines protecting the threatened wildlife of the Tropical Andes. Today, Venezuela's largest land mammal - the South American common tapir (Tapirus terrestris) - faces relentless habitat loss, poaching, and a devastating lack of protective resources. This park is one of its very last refuges in Venezuela's Central Coastal Range. If we don't act now, it could disappear from these mountains forever.
