Resolve Plastics Recycling has an opportunity to unlock 3X matching funds for up to $100,000 to fund the demonstration of its novel block-forming press. RPR's new process is the most efficient and cost effective way to recycle mixed and other hard-to-recycle plastics.
To unlock the funds, RPR must raise $33,333 in community matching funds by July 1, 2027.

Our Story
Plastic waste is one of the most persistent environmental challenges of our time. Landfills overflow with mixed and contaminated plastics that existing recycling systems simply can't handle. At Resolve Plastics Recycling, we've developed a solution: a super-efficient block-forming process that compresses and binds plastic waste into valuable, dense, stable blocks that can replace carbon-intensive cement and cinder blocks in many applications.
We're not just talking about collecting plastic waste — we're talking about closing the loop entirely. In a single-pass process, each of our machines is designed to process up to 30 tonnes of plastic waste per day.

What the Funding Will Do
Phase 2 testing began July 2026. The $100,000 opportunity — unlocked by your $33,333 in matched community support — will fund rigorous testing of our re-designed block-forming process, including:
- ✅ Process optimization — refining temperature, pressure, and feedstock ratios for consistent output
- ✅ Third-party verification — independent lab testing to validate environmental and structural claims for blocks
- ✅ Scalability assessment — finalizing the pathway from pilot to full-scale commercial operations
This is the critical bridge between a validated concept and a commercially deployed recycling solution.
FAQs
What happens if you don't reach $33,333 by July 1, 2027? We will not be able to access a portion of the grant and testing will be limited.
What is block-forming? A process that uses heat and pressure to compress mixed plastic waste into dense structural blocks. Without burning or chemically treating the material, this process will turn waste plastic into a stable, usable product.
Is this grant confirmed? Yes. We have received a commitment from a leading Alberta provincial innovation agency.
Is Resolve Plastics a registered organization? Yes. Resolve Plastics Recycling is a Private Canadian Corporation.
When will results be available? Phase 2 Testing will run through the second half of 2026, with results and reporting available to our community of supporters in 2027.
