WHY ?

When Paige passed away, it was a devastating blow to our family. While we knew her death was coming if she did not get well, it was something, we definitely were not prepared for. Our hearts shattered into a million pieces. Paige was so much more than her screaming addiction. She was beautiful. She was kind, caring and charismatic. Paige was always a joy to be around. She was a bright light that filled any room she was in.

After her passing was a time of not only mourning her, but mourning the loss of HOPE; there was a feeling that hope for her life died with her… Only, Amber and I just could not accept that. We could not accept that her short 31 years here with us, and all of her struggle and all of her pain were for nothing. We sprung into action with this idea that every woman, wanting to get clean and sober, regardless of race, creed, orientation, or past, should have a home to go to where she can feel unconditionally safe and surrounded by support; a place where she can submerge herself in growth and healing within her recovery plan. And so, Turn The Paige Recovery House was born. Paige always dreamed that her story would impact other women and through Turn The Paige, we shall build upon her dream and take to no limit. Hope for Paige’s life is back and more beautiful than ever.

Turn The Paige Recovery House will be accessible to women and create a positive impact for many clear across Canada.

With our first foundation house opening in early summer 2022, we now have all the ground-work in place to start accepting contributions to our cause.

Turn The Paige Recovery House is a women-led nonprofit organization founded solely to help women to leave addiction behind and enter into a full life of active recovery. Nanaimo, BC will be the first women’s recovery house within our Canada-wide network of peer-support, recovery living homes; a place where she can grow and heal within her individualized recovery plan.
