Tactical Laser Defense Systems Inc. (TLDS) is a small American technology company focused on the development of practical optical defense systems for the modern drone era.

Founded on the belief that individuals, families, property owners, and lawful organizations have the right to protect themselves from emerging technological threats, TLDS exists at the intersection of defense innovation and civilian-accessible technology.

Our work is heavily influenced by the rapid rise of autonomous systems, FPV drones, and sensor-driven threats appearing across both military and civilian environments worldwide. We recognized early that traditional counter-drone systems were often too expensive, too restricted, or too impractical for widespread defensive use.

Rather than pursuing large infrastructure-based systems or restricted military-only technologies, TLDS focused on optical mitigation — targeting the sensors and cameras modern drones depend on to function.

This philosophy led to the development of the DEW-002 platform and the broader family of TLDS optical defense systems.

Our background combines experience across defense-adjacent technology development, engineering, electronics, security systems, manufacturing, and advanced optical concepts. We approach problems with a practical mindset: systems must work in the real world, under real conditions, for real people.
