The Slocan Valley Historical Society is an all-volunteer, registered non-profit in BC.

The Society operates in the lower Slocan Valley from the Village of Slocan to South Slocan. Its mandate is to promote awareness and appreciation of the Valley's history. The Society has taken on many projects including publishing history books, hosting "Neighbourhood History Talks", creating the Slocan Valley Archives, refurbishing Slocan's Buddhist Memorial, and launching Slocan's History Walk.

The Slocan Valley Historical Society depends on grants and donations for all its projects.
