ABOUT SOCIETE GENERALE EXTRA MILE
As part of Societe Generale’s 2021 Group Charity Challenge, the 'Extra Mile' is a one-week initiative inviting all staff across Asia Pacific to form teams and take a collective sporting challenge for a good cause.
To confirm participation in the event, each team is required
to raise funds to support youth education programmes of
local charity partners in the region. Then, from 1
to 7 September 2021, all teams will have
1 common objective: completing 20,000 km for a donation of
20,000 euros
from Societe Generale to the charity partners*.
ABOUT THE INDIGENOUS LITERACY FOUNDATION
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation aims to raise literacy levels of Aboriginal and Torres Strait children living in remote Australia.
The funds raised will help buy books and literacy resources – the central building block – for raising reading levels in communities across Australia.
*Matching by Societe Generale:
1 euro raised by staff = 1 additional euro given by Societe
Generale, up to 40,000 euros;
1 kilometre generated by staff
= 1 euro given by Societe Generale, up to 20,000 euros.
