🚴‍♂️ ¿Por qué participo en el C2C4C?

Estoy pedaleando por algo mucho más grande que un reto personal. Estoy pedaleando por la vida, por la esperanza, por cada paciente que enfrenta una batalla contra el cáncer y por todas las personas que día a día dedican su talento, conocimiento y vocación a transformar esta realidad.

En mi caso, esta causa tiene un profundo significado personal. Mi abuela paterna falleció en los años 80s a causa de un cáncer hepático. Nunca tuve la oportunidad de conocerla. Quizás, si en aquella época hubiéramos contado con las tecnologías, los tratamientos y la ciencia que hoy existen, mi historia sería otra. Quizás ella aún estaría aquí, compartiendo conmigo la vida, las historias, los abrazos.

Hoy pedaleo por ella. Y por todas las personas que no llegaron a tiempo, pero también por quienes aún tienen esperanza. Porque el cáncer es una de las enfermedades más retadoras que existen, y cada día cuenta, cada recurso importa, cada avance científico salva vidas.

Quiero invitarte a unirte a esta causa apoyando con tu donación. Cada peso recaudado va directamente a organizaciones que trabajan incansablemente por los pacientes oncológicos: para mejorar su acceso a tratamientos, su bienestar durante la recuperación y, sobre todo, para que puedan mirar el futuro con fuerza y dignidad.

🚴‍♂️ Why I'm Riding in the C2C4C Challenge

I’m not riding just for the kilometers—I’m riding for something much deeper: hope, healing, and humanity.

I ride for every person who has faced a cancer diagnosis. I ride for every family affected, and for all the tireless professionals who dedicate their lives to making sure cancer doesn't have the last word.

But this ride is also personal. My paternal grandmother passed away from liver cancer in the 80s, before I was born. I never got to meet her. And I often wonder: if the medical technologies we have today had existed back then, maybe—just maybe—I would have had the chance to know her, to grow up with her stories, her hugs, and her love.

So now, I ride for her. And for everyone whose lives could be changed by earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and access to care.

I'm participating in C2C4C to help raise funds for organizations that are leading the fight against cancer—supporting patients through treatment, driving research, improving recovery, and most importantly, giving people a fighting chance.

To the doctors, nurses, researchers, advocates, and volunteers: thank you for your strength, your brilliance, and your heart. You are the everyday heroes behind every survivor’s story.
