I started boxing this year and am my putting my face on the line for a cause that I really do believe in.

I work in the DTES and can see firsthand how programs like the ones from Eastside Boxing really do shape and impact the community in a positive way. One of my favourite stories is meeting a peer support worker from my organization who has been coming to ESB since she was a youth herself, she told me about how much ESB's youth program has helped her become a fighter, and now she's a frontline worker! 

 Boxing is also a fun part of my personal recovery journey. Talk about healthy addictions - this might just be the one for me. 

I also love the community at Eastside Boxing, and am SO EXCITED to spend my summer combining my hobby with a cause.
