The Task Force on Violent Crime was created in May 1981 to examine the extent and causes of violent crime in Greater Cleveland and to recommend a program of community action that might reduce the level of violent crimes. Our organization has evolved into the Partnership for a Safer Cleveland and for over 40 years, served as a trusted resource in Greater Cleveland by being a critical conduit between government, law enforcement, the legal system, nonprofits, and invested citizens to advance solutions to Cleveland’s most pressing safety concerns. Today, Partnership for a Safer Cleveland advocates a collaborative approach to community safety by connecting the public, policymakers, and police to advance safety.
As advocates, we tirelessly champion causes close to our hearts, striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. We are driven to be transformational not just in our projects and initiatives but also in how we inspire change in individuals and communities. Above all, we hold humanity as our cornerstone, believing empathy, compassion, and kindness are fundamental to creating a world where everyone can thrive.
