Founded in 1997, Opportunity International Canada is a registered charity that together with other global Non-Profit organizations develops sustainable, finance based solutions to give people the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. The Opportunity global network and its partners annually reach an estimated 18.7 million families with access to tailored financial services, relevant training and support groups—solutions that empower low-income families, especially mothers, to grow small businesses, farms, and schools, earn a sustainable income, invest in the health and well-being of their families, and send their children to school, e!ectively ending the generational cycle of poverty for some of the most vulnerable families in the world. Clients in over 28 countries around the world use these services to start or expand a business, provide for their families, create jobs for their neighbours and build a safety net for their future.

Our Mission is by providing financial solutions and training, we empower people living in poverty to transform their lives, their children’s futures and their communities. Our Motivation is to respond to Jesus’s call to love and serve the poor.
