We are Open Immigration Legal Services ("Open Immigration").  We're a nonprofit organization dedicated to human rights and immigrant advocacy.  A significant part of our work involves assisting clients to meet the federal definition of a refugee to secure their stay in the United States. 

We have served 200 people since our founding in 2017.  We are committed to providing high-quality legal services tailored to each client's financial situation in addition to considerable pro bono work. Our approach involves working closely with individuals to fully understand their unique stories and objectives. Further, we prioritize compassionate and responsive client service, striving to help everyone we serve achieve their immigration goals.

 

We serve clients around the United States and especially folks living in Northern California.

At Open Immigration, we represent low-income kids in deportation proceedings. DOGE and the Trump administration have terminated our federal funding to stand up for these kids with ICE agents and the immigration court. Help us keep fighting for them!
