North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue (NADSR), an organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of Dutch Shepherds. In addition to finding new homes for our dogs, we are also very dedicated to educating the public about the responsibilities that comes with owning a dog of this breed. All too often people acquire a puppy or adult dog without knowing enough about what to expect and end up finding that they cannot handle it. This is one reason why Dutch Shepherds end up homeless. We know that with proper education and support we can better ensure that fewer Dutchies end up in shelters and that those who have recently added a DS to their family can find a place to turn when they need help.

NADSR needs help for Fiona's Cancer treatment.

Fiona was taken into NADSR's care early January 2018 as an owner surrender. We learned while awaiting a spay appointment that Fiona was in fact pregnant. Then it was discovered she had TVT. Transmissible venereal tumor of the external genitalia.

Tosh-AKA Siris was taken into NADSR's care back in August 2017 as an almost one-year-old adolescent. He was a stray found by a good Samaritan who took him in and temp fostered him. NADSR was then notified of a Dutch shepherd in need very thin and limping.
