NERO Live Action Role play chapters produce weekend long events at campgrounds where attendees play a medieval adventurer, solve mysteries throughout the weekend and engage in mock combat against Actors dressed as Monsters like Orc's, Ogre's and Troll's. For combat , we use foam sculpted swords and sorcery depicted by foam golf balls where you say the incantation, "i call forth a magic missile, 5" and throw the foam golf ball at your opponent. Since 1986, the NERO live action role play organization has been at the forefront of advancing the LARP industry. 

In 2009 our organization was attacked, our fearless leader told to resign and place a group of licensees in charge, which he declined, causing some 8 chapters out of 50 wanted to leave the organization and open a competing organization. After the new org failed, they duped the USPTO, told the NERO Chapter Owners  to license with them, and while in court for trademark infringement, copied the nero rule book 9th edition, replicated the entire organization, and pretended they were the rightful operators of nero. they threatened lawsuit and our chapters across America and canada closed rather than get sued or be licensed by a group of what really appears to be criminal organization run by attorney's who are members of the bar in Missouri who lied to the US Patent and Trademark Office on 2 material questions, on 3 applications 5 months apart, that induced/tricked the uspto into granting our organizations trademarks to our competitor.

We took them to ttab court in the patent and trademark office, but they used wordplay and loopholes to stall the proceedings. After 4 years the attorney's began to infringe on NERO copyrighted books - 10+ of them - so we took them to federal court, where they and there attorney continued to use wordplay and loopholes and wouldn't accept that they have no-merit whatsoever to defend upon, and the judge finally decided they were liars on the application (18 usc 1001 say's he is a Felon) and cancelled the two trademark registrations, and now we're going to trial on the remaining counts to see if they can steal our nero rule book 9th edition and possibly ruin of our organization/
