The National Aurtism Foundation, Inc. was founded in Las Vegas, Nevada by Kenneth Harrison, who brings 10 years' experience as a mental health advocate to this exciting project. The organization's goal is to provide art therapy experiences to autistic children and others who want to express themselves in a supportive, therapeutic and artistic environment. Ken launched the organization in August 2019 after meeting with a close friend who is a successful artist. During their conversation, the friend mentioned his concern that there are 9,000+ autistic kinds in Nevada and these kids have minimal exposure to art classes and/or art therapy. (It is well documented that art therapy has a positive effect on stroke patients and veterans with PTSD, why not kids with learning disorders?)

The goal is to provide a fun, comfortable space for kids and adults to come to paint, play and to grow. Specifically, NAF and the theme "Aurtism" will be a National Center for art therapy: a specialized area of mental health that uses art materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and resolve other psychological conflicts. Our state-of-the-art facility was designed with love to ensure the ultimate environment for providing Art Therapy and Mental Health services.
