In 1994 The Music Depot opened on West Main St in Port Colborne. The goal was to bring music to the people of Port Colborne with a fun and unique teaching method; a focus on the student instead of the curriculum.

After 20 years as The Music Depot, the need to establish a non profit music school in the Niagara Region became apparent. In 2014, Music and Performance Niagara was established as a non profit corporation, opening the door to free and low cost programming for our students. These new opportunities paved the way for more opportunities and experiences for our students.

As our student base continues to grow, we look back to our roots for our inspiration. We continue to keep in our hearts and our classes that passion and drive for fun and creativity. At the core of everything we have done and will do is always our number one priority: our students.
