We the members of Lolldaiga community are opposed to continued devastation of the environment and ecosystem of close to 20,000 people and diverse range of flora and fauna including gravy zebras, arising from the negligent and unsustainable use of our ecosystem by the British Army in the cause of their training. Our claims range from;
- Violations of our right to a clean and healthy environment has been violated
- Military standards on the safe conduct of training - including ignoring sustainable use of the environment and the health of the immediate community - were broken
- Wildlife escaping artillery fire at the conservancy have invaded our homes and destroyed their crops
- We wish to compel the British army and the conservancy to bear responsibility for ecological damage to a water catchment area.
- Following our petition to the Environmental and Land Court, the British Army claimed immunity but following a land mark ruling it was held that they are not immune to environmental responsibility. However we continue to suffer advance health effects which we plead for you assistance and the assistance of scientist to conduct toxicological reports and environmental impact assessment test to enable us prosecute our case, defend our environmental and foster restoration measures. Once again we humbly appeal for your support.
