About Us

Lawrence Revolution School is a collective of educators and organizers in Lawrence, KS, who provide educational opportunities and programming for community members and youth. Our mission is to educate and empower young people to work toward the liberation and empowerment of oppressed communities.

 

Each year, we put on a week-long Revolution School Summer Session for youth aged 15-19. Our instructors teach students on topics such as Creative Writing, Food Justice, Revolutionary History, Organizing Tactics, etc. from a Revolutionary perspective. To ensure that our programming is accessible to poor and working class students, each student is provided with a $50 stipend for their attendance, free home-cooked meals for lunch, and provided with free transportation to and from the school. All of our funding goes directly towards providing these services for our students.
