San Ramon and Bay Area resident for over 20 years.

Kumar has two children who attended San Ramon Valley Unified School District ("SRVUSD") schools. Kumar has worked tirelessly for the students, parents, and teachers in the FUSD / SRVUSD in many leadership roles, including President, Vice President, Historian, Parliamentarian, Hospitality Chair and Teacher Appreciation Chair in PTC / PTA , Ed Fund , School Site Council and at the elementary and high school levels.

In addition, Kumar chaired a variety of committees at his children's schools, including school registration, Math Olympiad, Book Drive and Ice cream social, movie night, many field trips in MSJE and HHES. 

Kumar creatively formed a new contribution drive chair team and that was major victory doubled contribution than ever in the school history before. Also, Kumar formed a team to identify a volunteer who can help at school and those volunteer hours converted to $$$ that was another victory in the history. The same experience shared in HHES and DVHS to double the contribution. Kumar believes that bringing SRVUSD Town Hall collaboration meeting with Students, Parents, Teachers and staff to build trust and transparency in the community. Kumar says “YOUR VOICE IS MY VOICE” when he listens to everyone and represent their voice as public elected official.

Kumar believes “Students are our future leaders” and “Teacher and Staff are our heroes”. Today we are facing many challenges due to Covid19 for students’ educational values delivery method. One thing Kumar emphasizes digital transformation is need of the hour plan better to manage if any such a circumstance to provide quality of education without any issues in near future. New visionary leader is important for our board. Kumar is committed, Passionate to bring his valuable contribution to help our future leaders’(Students) success.

Kumar founded 10 years old Non-Profit Organization called “Ideal Kids” Which helps young kids to develop healthy habits when they are young. Kumar built the vision to “Develop healthy Generation and Cultivate Leaders”. Recent decade 7000 kids get benefited. Kumar always passionate for kids’ healthy life as well as their future career. Kumar believes he is a visionary leader to fill the current gap from San Ramon Area 3
