I created magiciansandmagic.com in 2014.

The site ran for a while on a proprietary platform, which I eventually managed to change to wordpress.

Going along the way, I added more and more functionality.

Geo Directory- to create a platform so that magicians/performers could get themselves hired. As well as add clubs, video performances, and so on from the front end themselves as a member.

Added Buddypress- so that magicians could interact with each other and create groups and add their latest activities (a feed of their activities -same idea as a facebook).

Added Bb forum- so that people could interact on a forum, discuss magic, etc etc.

In 2020 (at the start of the global lockdowns- I lost my income.

So, the plan was to try and make the site earn an income.

So, I created a shop (selling only virtual items). Unforunately at this point, even though the site gets traffic and helps magicians get shows, keep updated and so on... i have not been able to get the site earning an income.

I have utilised all other avenues to keep it going,  so i am trying the crowdfunding idea to see if i can source funds.

This should also tell me in no uncertain terms that the idea of the site is good or the Magic World could do without it.

I don't want to just close a site which now has over 100 keywords in the top 100 magic related without so much as a whimper.
