The Junior League of Fort Myers is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Today and the 21st Century Junior Leage
Since 1966, the Junior League of Fort Myers has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the Greater Fort Myers community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
With nearly 300 members, both actives and sustainers, our organization reflects a wide range of backgrounds, interest and professional pursuits. Working together, throughout our history, our members have proven to be accomplished collaborators. They build coalitions. They identify community needs. They develop effective and responsive programs to meet those needs. It takes courage and commitment.
Our commitment to making a difference is grounded in the history of the Junior League movement – a movement that spans more than one hundred years. A movement that has encompassed the changing needs of our world.
