My name is Enrique Abad. I work at Aloha High School as a Spanish teacher and AHS Boys Soccer Head Coach. For the last 13 years I have been working with the Multicultural Soccer Program as well. Every year, I have been touched that many boys from various ethnic groups are unable to enter the Varsity, JV teams because their soccer skills are not enough to participate in it.

However, students want to feel that they belong to the school, that they are part of  and are proud to be from Aloha. Therefore, this program has helped students develop that feeling of belonging to the school. In addition, the multi-cultural soccer program is a program where young people celebrate diversity by having fun and learning to accept cultural differences through a common sport.

For the last 13 years I have witnessed that this program has helped them academically improve their grades, stay physically active and also be productive young people in the Aloha community. Every year we have more participants who want to be part of the Multicultural Soccer Program. Unfortunately the lack of financial funds does not allow us to serve all students. For these reasons, we ask for your voluntary contribution, which we will always be infinitely grateful for.
