The very nature of every kind and benevolent person is to serve
and help others, for that gives a pleasure greater than
serving oneself.
And what better opportunity to serve and help the brajawasis,
the fortunate souls living in Vrindavan, the dear
abode of Lord Krishna,
than these times when they are in need of support from the
able members of the civilised society due to the
current situation of the
lock-down. Undoubtedly these are difficult times for everyone
but it
also offers us an opportunity to serve many people by donating
for the
purpose of feeding them satisfying Prasad, or sanctified food. Not
only is this a good opportunity for those with ample amount of funds,
but also for those who may wish to serve but are unable to contribute
large sums.
ISKCON Vrindavna is offering everyone an opportunity to serve the brajawasis by donating for as many as one may be able to do. The cost of feeding a meal to one person costs Rs. 40 only, which is only about a little more than half a dollar, or 50 pennies. This is an amount that everyone can spare and indeed, by the grace of the Lord, all of us would be capable of sponsoring a few meals. Although it appears to be such a small amount, it goes a long way for those who get the meal and can fill their stomachs when there are no other means of maintaining their livelihoods. The grateful souls of these blessed Brijwasis shall surely send their blessings your way.
