Girls Rising is a nonprofit formed by members of the all female rock band, Antigone Rising, to inspire girls and LGBTQ youth to dream big and live outside the boundaries society has imposed on them. To accomplish this goal we perform outreach workshops in schools and youth centers all over the world sharing our personal story of how we overcame adversity to succeed in a male dominated, hetero-normative industry. 

The media does not provide enough positive role models for our girls and LGBTQ kids. We hope by visiting communities around the world we can help breakdown stereotypes and remind kids they can be anything they want to be!
