Fragile Inheritance is the work of the biologist/artist team of Fred Schueler and Aleta Karstad.

They have operated as a couple for over 40 years, and during the past 30 years as a volunteer and freelance team under the banner of Fragile Inheritance - teaching, mentoring, collaborating, writing journal, illustrating plants and animals, painting landscapes, and keeping a database of natural history observations.

In January of 2022 Fragile Inheritance was incorporated federally as a non-profit organization, and now is the time to raise funds for development and maintenance of the Fragile Inheritance Database.
