Mental Health America of Southeast Florida is excited to partner with Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention (FISP).

FISP was established in 2001 as a organization that tackles our suicide epidemic in a three-prong approach: Education and prevention of suicide and suicide ideation, Advocacy for programs that engage at-risk persons, Support for survivors of suicide and Initiatives to support community healing and recovery.

According to Mental Health America, “most people who die by suicide have a mental or emotional disorder” (2014). With Mental Health America of Southeast Florida’s partnership, FISP will continue to impact our community’s continued mental health initiatives.
