I began correspondence with a lady in Ukraine, Julia, before the most recent invasion by Russia in Ukraine. Before this, Julia, lost a house to the Russian separatists in Svatovo, Ukraine in 2014. Then, Julia moved to Kiev to an apartment and her mother Alexandra to Irpen to a house.

During this most recent invasion by Russia, Julia's apartment in Kiev was bombed. So she fled, taking Alexandra and her cats under shelling to Lviv, Ukraine. As soon as they left Kiev and Irpen, Alexandra's house in Irpin was leveled by Russian missiles. They narrowly escaped these attacks and made it safely to Lviv, Ukraine.

Julia's dad, Alexander, and her brother have to serve in the Ukrainian army currently. Before going into the army, her dad underwent major heart surgery for heart attacks. He is currently unable to support Julia and Alexandra. About 3-4 weeks ago, Alexandra suffered a major stroke due to war stress from bombing attacks in Lviv. She had to have brain surgery for an aneurism, malignancy in her cheek, and cataract surgery for her eyes all at the same time. This was expensive. She is still recovering in their shelter in Lviv, now.

Most recently, Julia's grandparents, in the eastern Donbass area suffered a missile strike to their barn on their small farm there. All their animals were killed in this missile strike. These animals were Julia's grandparents winter provisions. Also, the windows of their house were blown out. Julia and I are, now, trying to replace her grandparents winter provisions with monetary support so they can survive the upcoming harsh winter.

While Julia has been struggling to find and do some meager work during this time to help support her family, I have been their only other main source of monetary support. I am able to send money directly to her for her family but, I am only one person.  Alexandra has now moved to Chernivtsi near the Romanian border where her  friend has reserved an apartment for Alexandra and Julia. there away from the shelling.  Alexandra has recovered from surgery in Lviv and is able to work in a salon in Chernivtsi now.

Currently, their main electricity and heat is on and off in Lviv. Her grand parents are probably without electricity as the Russians are destroying life sustaining infrastructure for water and electricity now throughout Ukraine. I helped Julia buy a generator and basic needs. She has to continually buy propane canisters to power her generator to provide minimal heat and light for their shelter in Lviv now. Her generator is now in need of repair.

We are asking for timely funding for Julia and her family's basic needs during this hard time of their persecution from war in Ukraine. They have hospital expense, shelter provision expense, expense to replace grandparent's winter provisions, and expense to provide their apartment in Chernivtsi when they both arrive there.

We are extremely grateful for any support we can receive for this family's basic needs for subsistence as they fight to survive during this upcoming cold harsh winter under war persecutions.

I am trying to be the good Samaritan, but like I said previously, I am only one person. Jesus said, "When you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me." Thank you and God bless.

A Ukrainian Refugee Family in Need

I am supporting the family of a friend of mine, Julia, in Ukraine. Since the start of the most recent Russian invasion their needs to survive have escalated for Julia's mother and grandparents especially. I am currently their main means of support.
