Welcome to the Community Libraries of Providence. We are a system of nine libraries, serving nine distinct neighborhoods in greater Providence. Each of our libraries are informed by patrons in our community and reflections of the unique flavors and diverse culture of our population.

We are united in is a vision that is centered around literacy, learning, and connection.

Our libraries today offer physical, digital, and audiobooks, but also so much more — they’re vibrant community hubs, evolving to meet modern needs with career workshops, classes and activities, makerspaces, and digital tools.

We aim to center our communities, share our stories, foster value in our neighborhoods, embrace the curiosity of our patrons, innovate boldly across the organization, and strive for sustainability that will carry us into a strong and resilient future.
