" Cedars for Care ( CFC) is a non-sectarian, not for profit and nongovernmental Environmental development organization working on the improvement of vulnerable and less developed Societies, Economic stability and citizens’ wellbeing. CFC’s quantifiable targets are people-centered, society-wide and environmentally related, they are also labeled as implementing organizations that design and put into action various developmental projects with financial and technical support. It was founded in 1998 in Beirut but has rapidly reached all the Lebanese territories."

" Operation Big Blue Association (OBBA) is a non-sectarian, not for profit and nongovernmental Environmental organization working mainly on the conservation of coastal and aquatic biodiversity as well as the integrated and sustainable development of the Lebanese waters. It was founded in 1997 by Hazem Idriss Scuba Diving Instructor and a group of responsible and loyal divers. Over the years, thousands of tons of waste were removed from the Lebanese seashore and the Lebanese waters as well as from rivers. Aside, best ecosystem management practices, both practical and theoretical, were taught to thousands of volunteers."

Cedars for Care and the Operation Big Blue Association work closely together, with overlapping leadership, to provide vital support to displaced Lebanese families in Beirut. Their efforts mainly focus on delivering food, shelter, and essential services (healthcare, education, etc) to hundreds of families currently taking refuge along Ramlet El Baida Beach (White Sand Beach) and the Corniche.
