Every city, region, and country that I've visited has been affected in some way by cancer.  It seems that many like to tell their stories about their experience, survival, or, sadly, loss.  Cancer leaves an indelible mark that ultimately brings us together and promotes support toward the development of strategies and treatments to battle this disease.

I distinctly remember what my mom, Christine, went through to get treatment for her oral cancer diagnosis over ten year ago.  Her treatment required several teams of healthcare professionals in London, Ontario who collectively did an outstanding job of addressing her specific needs, performing the surgery, and mapping-out her path to recovery.  Since that time, Windsor-based foundations and organizations have continued to develop the network of professionals and equipment necessary to offer patients with local solutions and a more direct path to services that benefit the people of Windsor and Essex County.

I'm happy to support and participate in fundraising initiatives driven by the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation that continually benefit those in our community.
