Who Are We?
Brave was formed to assist law enforcement; criminal justice and advocacy groups better address the needs of victims of crime, while also promoting public awareness of crime victim’s rights and services.
Brave’s Board consists of individuals that work with EBR Sheriff’s Office, BR Police Dept., EBR District Attorney’s Office, a non-profit organization and a community member.
The Purpose of BRAVE is to provide services such as:
- Providing materials and resources to educate victims as to other available resources in the community for victims of crime through outreach programs.
- Holding events that make the community aware of crime victims, such as the Evening of Remembrance, Flowers on the Lake and Crime Victims Recognition Ceremony
- Provide limited funding to crime victims in need, when referred by and approved through a B.R.A.V.E. Board Member, when other sources of funds are not available.
- BRAVE is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
