My name is Amy Dunn. I am a 40 year old mother of 3 &
grandmother of 4. I am starting this GoFundMe page because Me &
3 other families on the same property literally lost everything we
own including all of our homes in a Random Wildfire/GrassFire that
got out of control and before the fire department could make it to
the scene the fire had already burnt mine and 3 other people's homes
to the ground leaving nothing but mangled metal, shattered glass,
black ashes, melted plastic, burnt wires & small burnt pieces of
what used to be all of our homes & literally all of our
belongings. We all survived the fire with ONLY the clothes on our
back & thankfully still alive. Unfortunately I didn't have
insurance due to hard times lately & now have no place to call
home anymore struggling to make it day to day with no help from all
the sources I have been referred to due to no funds at the time from
them helping so many who have been in same situation as I am in. I
was blessed to be helped by RedCross with funds for a few days of
food and shelter and immediate needs and donations of clothes from
local individuals, friends & family, and churches. Now we are
still without a home living day to day in a car full of clothes. I
am asking for help for the recovery funds to help get back on our
feet, to have shelter, shower & food and to get a place to call
home again after the total loss of ours due to the fire. I know
times are tough right now for everyone in the world & so many
are struggling to get by day to day. So, I am asking for whatever
help anyone can possibly provide at this time to help us recovery
from this horrific tragedy that happend to us on August 26, 2023 in
Opelika, Texas where the direct result of a huge wildfire that took
everything we own ending in a TOTAL LOSS leaving us homeless
& having to start over with nothing. No matter how big or
small at this moment in time we don't have a home nor a penny to
our name so Literally ANYTHING HELPS even Prayers. So, I am asking
that if there is any possible way you can help it will be greatly
appreciated & forever remember by all of us and we will be
extremely thankful for any and all the donations to help us get
off the street and back into a place we can call home again.
I want to Thank everyone in advance for all who have taken the
time to read our tragic story of our horrific tragedy ending in
Total Loss Of Everything Including Our Home and for all thoughts,
prayers & donations.
