I'm a physician and long time activist for racial and economic justice.  I stepped away from medicine 4 years ago and have worked for changes in our legislature that would guarantee access to affordable healthcare for everyone, particularly farmers and other people in rural Minnesota who are losing their clinics and hospitals.  I also work with the regenerative agriculture movement that is fighting to save our small & mid-size farms and is advocating for farming practices that store carbon to mitigate climate change.  

I am running because to make real change we need to speak clearly against the politics of fear and division that are keeping people from recognizing our common self-interest.  It is only when we recognize our shared circumstances will we become the strong enough force to win change.  

There is abundance in Minnesota and when we see the possibility in everyone, we will invest in our communities to create the conditions for prosperity, security and dignity for everyone.  But right now, the MN Senate is a graveyard for legislation that would address many of the real concerns people have:  the cost of medications and healthcare, the lack of affordable childcare, paid family and medical leave, gun safety, the climate crisis, quality public education, and of course, addressing the hate crimes creeping across our country that haunt so many of our neighbors.  Join me and help me end the stalemate in the MN Senate.
