Rugby Para Todos is a not-for-profit organization made up of young professionals that seeks through rugby´s philosophy to promote a social change. Our mission is to contribute, by means of rugby, to the physical and mental development of the children and teenagers living in poor areas of Venezuela. Our vision is to expand and spread rugby as a powerful tool for social development and integration all over the country. Since 2011 up to now, we have succeeded in serving a population of more than 4000 children and teenagers of different poor areas from Caracas and regions around the country. During this time we have been able to create and maintain two rugby children´s schools. “Gigantes de Mesuca” -the Giants of Mesuca school- is located at the heart of the biggest and most dangerous neighborhood in Latin America: Petare. On February 15th, 2014 through a joint effort together with the Mayor's Office of Sucre, the school opened its doors, serving around 100 children and teenagers from the community. Mesuca has become a benchmark regarding rugby development for children and teenagers in Venezuela, continually organizing events where other schools of the country have participated. In January, 2016, our second school began activities, this time in the San Jose de las Clavellinas, a slum located in Guarenas, (a satellite town, 30 minutes from Caracas.) Nowadays, this school caters around 50 children and teenagers of the area. Besides keeping these two schools, Rugby Para Todos constantly carries out sports initiation workshops and rugby festivals for children from poor areas of the country.
