Back in 1987 my step father had a swimming accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. This spinal cord injury has left him in a wheelchair chair for the last 35 years.

This though has not stopped him from being the most amazing father, partner, friend and mentor to so many of us. Along with being the incredible man that he is, he has also dedicated his life to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries through his charity Canadian Spinal Research organization.
Despite the challenges he faces on a daily basis he always has a smile on his face and determination in his eyes to find a cure and make lives easier for the people living with spinal cord injuries. 

He is the biggest inspiration to not only me but most of the people that are lucky enough to have him part of his life. That drives us all to be the best we can be and motivates us to do as much as we can ourselves to raise money to help find a cure. We are very close to some serious breakthroughs that will make a significant difference in people lives living with paralysis, so every dollar that is raised makes a difference in our battle finding a cure. 

Seeing the hard work and dedication that has been put into CSRO by him over the years is incredible and my goal is to help raise as much money as possible. In hopes that we get to a point where treatment can make a significant improvement in his life or even finding a cure for paralysis. Every dollar counts and we keep hoping and working towards the day that people with paralysis can finally skate again with their kids, or go for a walk with there significant other.
