Welcome to Peterborough Pride UK!
As a not-for-profit event, the first Peterborough Pride took
place in 2017 after our city was identified as the third highest
homophobic city in the UK for online abuse. To combat this, a group of
individuals who are passionate about equality and the values of
inclusion banded together to provide a platform that not only raises
awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community, but campaigns for a better city
that recognises and celebrates difference.
Now four years strong, our Pride event has
since been identified as one of the most
"up-and-coming" Pride events in the UK! We have
continued to successfully organise Pride events across the city of
Peterborough, but with a hefty cost... each Pride event has been
funded entirely by ourselves with no support from the public or local
council... so, to put it plainly, we need your help!
We are in need of your financial support in order to fuel our
purpose – to improve the arts, culture and inclusivity in
Peterborough's wonderfully diverse city. We want to make it clear
that the LGBTQIA+ are proud of their identities, that they matter
and can thrive!
With your donations, you will be greatly contributing to
Peterborough's wellbeing and future, making it a more inclusive city
and a safer place to live. Your donations you will also allow us to
run our popular Pride celebrations – from supporting queer artists,
setting up our venues or helping the LGBTQIA+ youth in Peterborough to
live their lives authentically.
