Overdrive Studios is an independent music studio in Singapore built for artists, producers and small creative teams to record, produce and develop their work in a focused environment.
We are now working toward the studio’s next practical capability: enabling small bands to rehearse and jam with live drums.
Why we are building this
Access to a functional rehearsal setup can be difficult for independent musicians—especially newer artists and small bands that need an affordable, comfortable place to practice, experiment and develop their sound.
Overdrive Studios already supports recording, music production and focused creative sessions. Adding a compact band-jamming setup would allow us to support another important stage of music-making: musicians learning to play together before entering a formal recording or performance environment.
The room has been tested for live-band use, and sessions will be limited to a maximum of five people so that the space remains safe, manageable and suitable for its existing recording and production work.
What the funds will provide
The campaign aims to raise S$3,306 for the essential equipment needed to establish the jamming setup:

Each item has been chosen with the studio’s limited space in mind. The equipment needs to be compact, dependable, portable and easy to store so that Overdrive Studios can continue functioning primarily as a recording and production space.
Why crowdfunding
Overdrive Studios is still an independently operated, early-stage studio. Purchasing the entire setup at once would place unnecessary financial pressure on the studio.
Crowdfunding allows friends, collaborators, musicians and supporters to contribute at a level that is comfortable for them while helping build a useful shared capability one component at a time.
Every contribution—large or small—moves the studio closer to hosting complete live-band sessions.
How the equipment will be used
Once the essential setup is completed, Overdrive Studios will be able to support:

The jamming setup will be operated carefully, with clear booking conditions, session limits and equipment-handling guidelines.

Campaign updates will be posted as funding milestones are reached and equipment is purchased.
Listed prices are based on current expected costs. If a specific product becomes unavailable or its price changes substantially, an equivalent replacement may be selected based on reliability, compatibility, size and value. Any reasonable savings or remaining funds will be directed toward necessary connections, protection, maintenance or completion of the same band-jamming setup.
This is a fundraiser supporting equipment for an independently operated music studio. Contributions should not be treated as tax-deductible charitable donations unless FundRazr expressly indicates otherwise.
