Journey to Miss Canada 2025

Canadian Mental Health Association (Vancouver-Fraser Branch)/The BC Epilepsy Society

INTRODUCTION:

I, Jacquoline, am honoured to stand as a contestant in the Miss Canada 2025 pageant - the final to occur in Montreal from May 15th to 19th. Representing both British Columbia, my current home, and Ontario, my birthplace, I proudly embrace a heritage that is deeply rooted in Canadian values and enriched by my ancestry. As I move forward in this experience, I feel a profound connection to both my personal story and to Canada’s vibrant multicultural identity, recognizing the unity and diversity that make this country remarkable.

Miss Canada is deeply rooted in community service, which resonates deeply with me and reflects my journey of nearly two decades of advocacy and dedication to diverse causes. I've poured my heart and countless hours into supporting initiatives that tackle some of society’s most pressing issues, including homelessness, epilepsy, and mental health. My involvement is not just about giving time; it’s a commitment to uplifting others, empowering those in need, and creating a ripple effect of positive change.

The philosophy that "it takes a community to build a community" has been my guiding light. I believe that by coming together, we can create meaningful solutions and strengthen the bonds that hold our communities together. Each experience—whether working on the front lines, organizing events, or lending my voice to raise awareness—has shown me that true progress arises when we collectively support one another. My work is an expression of gratitude to those who’ve helped me along my journey, and my way of giving back to the world around me.

THE ASK:

I'm currently raising funds to support my journey in the Miss Canada 2025 pageant, as competing in pageants can be quite costly. There are many talented, dedicated professionals involved who help bring this vision to life. From photographers capturing essential shots to makeup artists perfecting each look, each is a skilled, Canadian subcontractor. Additionally, physical expenses like flight tickets and early hotel reservations must be secured to ensure a smooth and successful participation in the event. This support is essential, as it allows me to focus on representing British Columbia and Ontario to the best of my ability on this national stage.

THE GIVEBACK:

A significant portion of the donations will be allocated to several charities, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advocacy. By donating a percentage of the proceeds throughout the event, I aim to support these important causes and make a meaningful impact in our community. This initiative not only underscores our dedication to social responsibility but also encourages participants and supporters to contribute to the betterment of those in need.
