Join us on the frontlines of the Line 3 pipeline fight for an Indigenous-led march to protect our water from toxic tar sands. On Indigenous Peoples' Day, Monday, October 14th, Ginew Collective, Rainforest Action Network, MN350, Twin Cities Democratic Socialists of America, Northfield Against Line 3, and our allies invite you to a peaceful march down 470th Street in Clearbrook, Minnesota at the site of Enbridge’s U.S. pipeline terminal.

RSVP for this peaceful march today:

We gather on Indigenous Peoples' Day to honor the resilience of Indigenous communities protecting the sacred here in what’s now called Minnesota and across Turtle Island. We call attention to the vastly disproportionate impacts Line 3 has on Anishinaabe communities: imminent threats tar sands pose to water, violation of treaty rights, irrevocable impacts on our manoomin (sacred wild rice), and all life that depends on it, to the direct link between the fossil fuel industry and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR).

Bringing hundreds of people to northwestern Minnesota for a rally — especially one right in Enbridge's backyard— is difficult and expensive. That's why we need your help:

  • Indigenous matriarchs from across Turtle Island are coming to Clearbrook to add their strength to our movement. They'll need our financial support to get there and to ensure they have proper housing. This will cost approximately $1000.
  • We'll be camping in the cooling October weather, which means weatherizing our whole camp by bringing in hardy three season tents plus wood burning ovens. This will cost $2000-3000.
  • We've booked two buses to transport allies from the Twin Cities, at a cost of around $3000.
  • We'll need food for around 200 people, at a cost of about $750.
  • Our march will be honored by indigenous drummers who must be compensated for their time, travel, and labor. We want to give them $750.

Right now, we've raised about 1/3 of what we need to meet our total budget— that means we need to raise at least $6000 before October 14th. Indigenous communities are at the frontlines of climate chaos. Whether or not you're planning to join us in person, we're asking that you demonstrate solidarity through financial contribution. People with access to wealth are encouraged to give generously. This is the next big step towards shutting down Line 3 and stopping Enbridge for good.

Stand with us to protect the sacred water, the life that it gives, and our communities ✊❤️
