Come out and root for your favorite players on April 25th in the Big Gym. We are raising money for our PE and wellness program at Indian Trail School and our local food pantry with a student vs. staff basketball game! Tickets are $5 each, but feel free to contribute as much as you are able. Just put the name of your student(s) and how many tickets in the message section when you donate. You can purchase tickets for cash at the door as well. We will also be selling healthy concessions. Your donations will support the following:
- $300 Refresh our Recess and PE equipment closet
- $200 Pedometers for 4th and 5th grade students
- $500 Donation to Lake County Food Pantry
Here in Alabama, we
understand that
a healthy child has fewer absences, learns better, and is less
likely to develop chronic diseases later in life.
Schools play a vital role in the health and wellness of
children. Students spend almost as many waking hours at school as
they do at home, and consume up to two thirds of their daily
calories here. This means we have an important opportunity – and
responsibility – to teach and reinforce healthy habits.
Please consider donating to strengthen Physical Education,
Health Education and whole child programs in our state, and share
with your family and friends to amplify our reach!
How it works:
- 75 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to the school campus, to be spent on wellness at the school's discretion.
- 25 cents goes to support student health and wellness through ASAHPERD - the professional association for health & physical education teachers in our state - and CATCH Global Foundation, a 501c3 dedicated to bringing wellness to underserved communities nationwide.
