We are excited to launch a new fundraiser this year: a Hike for Hope, where individual CAYU staff members invite a hiker(s) to complete the Coliseum Mountain Trail Loop on behalf of their ministry. Each hiker has the opportunity to go into their own community, seeking out sponsors who would contribute donations to their hiking effort. The money raised goes right back into our communities, and supports the work of the dedicated and passionate staff of Central Alberta Youth Unlimited/YFC who are at work in the lives of youth.

The Hike for Hope will take place on Saturday, October 1st, starting at 11:30am at the Coliseum Mountain Loop trailhead.

As a fun bonus and incentive, any hiker who successfully raises $250 for the CAYU staff or program they are hiking in advocacy for, their fundraising will be matched with an additional $250!

Information for Hikers:

• Location of the Trailhead: From highway 11, turn onto Range Rd. 152A (Shunda Creek Rd.), then Baldy Road, then Eagle Road. At the end of Eagle Road, you'll find the parking lot for the trailhead. 
• Hikers will receive snacks for them to enjoy over the hike, and are welcome to join in on a weiner roast at the end of the trail! 
• Hikers are welcome to bring their families to join them for the hike! (Anticipate the hike taking about 5 hours, and some steep switchback elevation)
