At only 9 months old, Maestro’s young life has been marked by unimaginable pain. This sweet, trusting pup has endured tragedies that no living being should ever face. Maestro was cruelly shot and then struck by a car, leaving his body broken and his spirit hanging by a thread.
As if that wasn’t enough, doctors found a tumor in his back right leg. The damage is so severe that the leg must be amputated to give him any hope of survival. And yet, despite his pain, Maestro greets everyone with gentle eyes and a wag of his tail, showing us the resilience of his incredible heart.
But Maestro’s battle doesn’t end there. He’s been hospitalized since being rescued from the shelter, fighting pneumonia and struggling with dangerously abnormal blood work. Every moment in the hospital is a fight for his life—but Maestro is a warrior. He just needs us to believe in him.
