Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions hasn't added a story.
"I just got back from the vet with Einstein. As expected, a lot is going on. His mouth is "a sewer" (vet said) and needs dental badly. There is hair, food, and unknown objects embedded in his gums, which are showing roots. He will lose an unknown number of teeth. Vet even begged the higher powers to clear a slot tomorrow to do it, because it was that bad. They will remove the heinie growth as well. (We didn't talk much about that because of all the other stuff). When they took his little "foster dog:under construction" t shirt off, they were shocked. They said it is NOT a sunburn, but yet they didn't know what it was. His paws are stained red from licking them so much and for so long that they said he was suffering for a long time (cue tears). His whole underside and legs are covered in the welts, as well as under the little remaining hair he has, so they can't tell what the problem is. There are infections as well. Gave him a medicated bath, so that hopefully will help. Slated for tomorrow: dental w/ teeth removal, growth removal, microchip, skin biopsy, starting antibiotics. She can't guarantee antibiotics will cure him, but its a start. She went on to say he is a charming little fellow and was wonderful. The more time they spent with him, the more they could see his personality and said he was a wonderful little guy who will be great once he's fixed up".
Kadie; 6 yr old Chihuahua pulled from local shelter with rotting teeth and grade 4 out of 4 bilateral luxating patellas on both hind legs. Her foster created a page just for Kadie at https://www.facebook.com/savekadie Kadie's surgery has been preformed but we still require help paying for it.
Toby; 10 mth old Yorkshire Terrier has a degenerative disease called Legg-Calve-Perthes disease and also a problem with his knee. Vet is sending out his xrays to be seen by a radiology specialist and we will hopefully have more information by next week.
Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions needs the public's help to pay for these special need babies. The $2500 is just a starting point to pay for what is (and will be required) to get these special dogs on the road to recovery. As anyone who has pets knows, vet care is expensive and adding multiple surgeries on top of the normal care means we have to rely on public support.
Rescued Treasures is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization run solely with the help of volunteers so all your donations go directly to the animals. All the animals are housed in foster homes and cared for by foster families until adopted. Rescued Treasures would also be happy to supply references and vet information to anyone that would like it.
Please Donate to help these babies, no donation amount is too small as it all adds up. Additionally, share this page to help us reach more people and hopefully meet or exceed our goal. We expect costs/bills will exceed our goal amount so exceeding our fundraising goal would be phenomenal and any excess (should that be the case) would go to helping other animals vet fees.
