Hi, I’m Steven, founder of a new social enterprise based in Barrie, Ontario. Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide safe, reliable transportation for autistic and neurodiverse individuals—while creating meaningful employment opportunities for those often left behind. Our secondary goal is to enhance mobility for other groups throughout Barrie and Simcoe County beyond our initial demographic.

This idea was born from lived experience. I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is for neurodiverse people to access basic mobility, let alone find work that respects their strengths. We’re changing that—one bus, one job, one ride at a time.

Our first goal is to purchase a Mercedes Sprinter van that’s perfect for our needs. We’ve found one on the market that suits our needs, and with fees, insurance, and setup costs, we need to raise $60,000 CAD to get this vehicle on the road. The additional $40,000 is for other operational expenses, including paying a driver for the first few months until the company becomes self-sustaining.

This bus is just step one in our broader project. Once this is up and running, we plan to acquire more vehicles and start working on other aspects of project, such as housing for people with disabilities, and a community centre to enhance people's social lives.

This isn’t just a bus—it’s a lifeline. It’s a way for someone to get to therapy, to a job interview, to a community event. It’s also a training ground for future drivers, dispatchers, and support staff who deserve a chance to thrive.
