Fortunately, the aim and objective of SCGBVF is to continue to champion activism program as per the directive by the National Strategic Plan, which is being perpetuated by inter-ministerial committee to get better outcomes and have more impact. Hence we commenced with the successful pilot programme on the 27-29 December 2021, to keep the torch burning during this festive season. In which irresponsible men are prone to being abusive towards their partner and/ or children.
Most importantly is for Batsogile Community Organization to take part in the 100- Day Challenge of Activism Against Gender –Based Violence and Femicide which commence on the 1 March 2022 and beyond.
Therefore, this significant edutainment mechanism consists of football and netball sporting codes, with solemn responsibility to cultivate efforts. Through football to educate young men about the everlasting physical and mental scars it leaves on these women and/ or children victims.
On the same breath, is to demonstrate support through netball by young women who might be victims/ to these victims. Also in consideration of the support base that would be exposed to and support this initiative by being mere sport spectators during the course of the event.
Therefore, second edition of Sport Challenge Against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide which to be held in four (4) different locations (to maximize GBVF activism impact) from the 19th to 27th March 2022. SCAGBVF is a quarterly event.
However, we need financial assistance to fight this GBVF pandemic. Please help in ACTIVISM Against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in the township and rural area.
