This beautiful girl is Dana. She is an 8 yr old, beautiful, playful, snuggly, Pit/Lab mix.  Sweet Dana had a rough life before many kind human hearts began reaching out to save her, and helped her begin her rescue journey.  
    Unfortunately,  only Dana knows her true story, and as rescuers her new story begins with us.  Dana was spotted roaming the streets for weeks with a huge mammary tumor hanging from her. (Most likely from having multiple litters.) A sweet, kind hearted, person decided to take action, invited her into her car, and like that......Dana began her rescue journey.

   Dana underwent surgery for the massive mammary tumor, she received her spay, chip and up to date on vaccinations.  What was the most amazing part is the tumor was NOT cancerous!  

  Things were looking up for Dana.  She was now ready for her new home.  Dana needed socialization, leash training, and the love of a foster home.  A wonderful family stepped up to become Dana’s Foster Family. This amazing family took Dana in and has work through some of Dana’s issues, helping her become a more confident dog. 

   Dana's foster family noticed that Dana had two tumors that had formed by her mammary glands. She was taken to the vet, and it is in Dana's best interest to have the tumors removed before they get larger....and this type of tumor if left WILL become cancer.
