Urgent request for support! A central tenant organizer was recently hospitalized with COVID-19.They were treated and discharged after 4 days in the hospital, but are still recovering amongst very difficult conditions, including lack of electricity, dire economic circumstances, and a shortfall of needed resources.

Tenants of Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation-owned properties (JP NDC) are facing retaliation for exercising their legal right to organize! They need your help to fight back!

JP NDC are engaged in a ruthless campaign of retaliation and oppression against their tenants at Pondview Apartments, where tenants are organizing around the following basic demands:

• Fix the unsafe living conditions at your properties!
  
• Respect tenant choices; Include utilities in rent!
• Stop violating your tenants' rights to organize!
• Get rid of the mismanagement company Peabody Properties!
  
  

These tenants need your support!

Donations to our Tenant Aid Fund will go towards organizing supplies for the campaign (such as printing fliers), and basic survival goods for tenant organizers who have had their electricity shut off in retaliation for their organizing. Your mutual aid and support will help purchase things like batteries (for the lamps they use to see with, to charge their devices, etc.), non-perishable food (no power means no refrigerator and severely limited cooking options) and other living expenses, and support the tenants as they organize to fight back!
