Barefoot Cliff is a café and wellness project taking shape on Madeira's north coast, in Seixal, Porto Moniz. The setting brings together the Atlantic coast, terraced grounds and a house where we want people to feel welcome, slow down and enjoy time together.

I'm Marco, and this is a project I care deeply about. We are building it step by step, and I would love our first supporters to be part of the journey.

We are inviting you to become a Founding Friend of Barefoot Cliff. You can support the project with a small contribution, choose a future experience for yourself or someone you love, or become an early business supporter.

What your contribution will help us do

Our proposed first goal is EUR 6,000. The next stage focuses on preparing the welcome and terrace areas, equipment for our first experiences, and the practical work needed to welcome guests. Part of the money raised must also cover the costs of delivering the rewards, payment fees and applicable taxes. This is a first step in the project, rather than the full development budget.

We will share progress photographs and updates so you can see how the project is developing. Because this is a Keep It All campaign, contributions are collected as they arrive, even if we do not reach the goal. We will use smaller amounts to make progress in smaller stages; our responsibility to deliver purchased rewards remains.

Where we are now

The cabins and yoga deck are still being prepared and are not complete. The real photographs show the setting. We will not present illustrations as finished facilities or imply that every experience is already operating.

The founder experiences below are proposed for selected dates between March and June 2027. They are separate from our Valentine's retreat. Before taking payment, we will publish the confirmed inclusions, availability, delivery window and cancellation terms for each experience.

Founding Friend rewards

The EUR 25 Founding Friend reward is available now. The four experience packages below are proposals for selected dates from March to June 2027, separate from our Valentine's retreat. They are not available to purchase until inclusions, availability, delivery windows and cancellation terms are confirmed.

EUR 25 — Founding Friend

Follow the project through progress updates, with an optional first-name thank-you if you would like one. No visit or overnight stay is included.

EUR 75 — Atlantic Afternoon for Two

Coffee or tea and a Madeira food tasting for two, with time to enjoy the terrace and coastal setting. Advance booking required on selected dates. Initial allocation: 20 packages. No overnight stay, transport, alcohol or additional meals.

EUR 150 — Wellness Day for Two

A gentle guided wellness session for two, a light lunch and time to relax. The session format, duration and practitioner will be confirmed before this reward is available. Initial allocation: 15 packages. No massage, medical treatment, overnight stay or transport.

EUR 495 — Spring Couples Escape

Two nights for two people sharing a private double cabin, with breakfast on both mornings. Initial allocation: five packages. No retreat programme, treatments, other meals, flights or transfers. The cabins are unfinished; this reward will only be available after specifications, readiness, lawful operation and selected dates are confirmed.

EUR 1,000 — Founding Business Supporter

Twelve months of agreed business recognition and one private terrace afternoon for up to six people, with coffee or tea and a Madeira tasting. Recognition begins when the agreed placement is live. Initial allocation: three packages. Logo placement and artwork will be agreed in advance. No overnight stay, transport, guaranteed audience, leads, naming rights or exclusivity.

Booking and delivery

Prices cover the number of guests stated. Booking is subject to availability and confirmation; a contribution is not itself a confirmed reservation. Published consumer prices will include applicable taxes.

Weather-dependent experiences may be rescheduled. If no suitable alternative can be agreed, the experience will be refunded. If we cannot deliver an experience within its published delivery window, we will provide a full refund for that experience; a different reward will only be offered with the supporter's agreement.

Final booking deadlines and cancellation terms will be published before experience packages are offered for payment. The grounds have steps and uneven or steep paths. Please contact us about access or dietary requirements before choosing an experience.

Support and rewards do not provide equity, interest, profit sharing or a financial return. Contributions are not presented as tax-deductible charitable donations.
