On the Navajo Nation, we recognize that our LGBTQ+ relatives have always been a sacred part of our communities, culture, and history. Long before modern labels existed, Diné teachings acknowledged the importance of balance, harmony, and respect for individuals who walk in more than one world. Our relatives who identify as LGBTQ+ continue to carry strength, resilience, and wisdom that contribute to the wellbeing of our people.
