Bandit's K9Care Inc. hasn't added a story.
Echo’s Story:
Echo is a sweet 3 year old tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi who
lives with his owners in upstate New York. In March he was at the park
when he started limping and he was diagnosed with a sprained knee. He
was put on rest and pain medications. Then in June he was outside
running when he once again came up limping. This time he was diagnosed
with a torn cruciate ligament.
Echo's owner is disabled, as is her husband who is a disabled veteran, and they do not have the estimated $5,000 (which includes a nonprofit discount) for TPLO surgery. They applied to a number of nonprofit organizations, but those that responded did not have the funds to assist. Our organization was able to obtain a $3,000 gift for Echo’s surgery, so we just need the $2,000 balance to enable him to get the surgery he has been waiting for since mid-June.

Ellie’s and Haley’s Story:
Ellie and Haley are both Corgis that belonged to a breeder in
southern Missouri. Their owner passed away suddenly, leaving 9 Corgis
behind to fend for themselves without food or water until they were
discovered alone 5 days later. A local cattle dog breeder had space in
a kennel to take them all in, and with the help of some wonderful
people in rescue most of the dogs were re-homed.
One of those rescue people, Cathy McCord, took in a few of the dogs so they could be vetted and prepared for their trips to their new homes. They included Ellie, a 3 year old red and white Pembroke, and Haley, a 17 month old merle Pembroke/ Cardigan mix. Ellie was set to fly out with another Corgi to her new home when the vet determined that she had heartworms plus other parasites, and Haley also had them. And unfortunately Ellie was also found to be pregnant.
For now both heartworm positive Corgis will remain with Cathy while
they receive medical treatment. And in the case of Ellie until the the
puppies are born, weaned and homes found for them. And to ensure that
there are sufficient funds to care for both Corgis and the puppies we
are requesting $2,000 to assist them over the next few months.
